DIVISION / AGE GROUP
- The Senior division is for players born in 2010 to 2014 (11 to 15 year-olds).
- The Junior division is for players born in 2014 to 2020 (5 to 11 year-olds).
**Players may be moved between division if their skill level is better suited to play with a level younger or old group**
IMPORTANT FOR PLAYERS TRANSFERING FROM AN OTHER LEAGUE
If your child was registered with another association under Hockey Canada at any time in the past (not including Grandview or Current River Mighty Mites), you MUST apply for a transfer prior to registration with Northwood Hockey League. Other local associations include Elks, KC, Neebing, NorWest, Port Arthur Minor, Westfort and Thunder Bay Minor.

Once we have the information, we will submit a request to Hockey Canada and advise you via the email you provide when you are clear to register. This normally has a very quick turnaround of 2 or 3 days.

IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING NORTHWOOD LEAGUE
- There is NO body checking in either division.
- Both division use a buzzer for line changes.
How often do the kids play?
** Between 2 and 3 times a week.
** We take breaks at Christmas and wrap up before the March Break.
What days of the week do the kids play?
Games are on Saturdays (between 2pm and 6pm) and Sundays (between noon and 3pm) at the Fort William Gardens or Current River Arena. Practices are Thursdays and Fridays at Delaney between 5pm and 7pm. You won't be scheduled for all of these times. Seniors will also have games on Tuesdays between 7pm and 9pm.
What is the cost to register?
$500 per child. There are no additional team fees and no extra practice fees. Ask other leagues about these costs when making your decision.
How can I pay my registration fee?
E-transfer is the preferred method, but we can also accept cash and cheques and credit card (extra processing fee applies).

When are the registration fees due?
A $200 deposit is due September 1st, 2025, and the balance is due by October 31st, 2025.
