Avalanche News, Game 7

2015-11-23

Game Report by Head Coach Andrew Brewer

Following a team practice on Saturday, on Sunday, November 22nd the Blue Door Bistro Avalanche faced off against the Country Fresh Meats & Deli Flyers.  The first period was scoreless, before the Avalanche got on the scoreboard with a nice goal by Tyler Molenda shooting it over the Flyers goaltender before flying in the air like Bobby Orr which was assisted by Kaden Hryciw.  The Avalanche then scored a second goal on the next shift this time by Pacey Whitehead going hard to the net and going five hole with assists by Tim Kasstan and Cole Lambert.  The final shift of the second period, saw the Avalanche win the face-off deep in the Flyers end and following winning the face-off Cole Brewer picked up an assist, passing the puck over to Kaden Hryciw in front of the net who found the back of the net off the post with only 2 seconds on the clock.

With a 3-0 lead going into the third, the Avalanche's Tyler Molenda scored his second goal of the game on another nice scoring play with assists to teammates Peyton Wilson and Dane Dupuis.  The Flyers pulled the goaltender in the final shift of the game and with 6 skaters scored twice to close the gap plus break any chance of a shut-out which the final score finished 4-2 for the Avalanche over the Flyers.

The Blue Door Bistro Avalanche's Hardest Working Player was Tyler Molenda with two highlight reel goals, hard work back checking and a strong game from start to finish.

The Avalanche will hit the ice next weekend for a game on Saturday, November 28th at 5pm at the FWG against the Victoria Chiropractor Senators.  Followed by a practice Sunday, November 29th from 9:00-10:00am at Delany Arena.
