Andrew along with his family joined the Northwood Hockey League in Sept 2015 where he returned to coaching with both kids starting in the Junior division (Line 1). Cole, his son, who during his time in the Junior division transitioned to becoming a goalie, aged out from the Senior division at the end of the 2023/24 season and continues to play today elsewhere including returning to begin coaching himself with his Dad in Northwood during the 2024/25 season. McKenzie, his daughter, will be playing in her last year this season in Northwood before also aging out from the Senior division and she also enjoys volunteering in any way she can within the league from 5050, kickoff events, holiday classic and so on.

In 2019, Andrew also got involved joining the NHL executive as the ice scheduler which he continues to do today. In 2022 he also took on the position of Senior VP for one season before becoming the current Northwood Hockey League President in 2023. Andrew has also spent over 30 years as an on-ice official within Hockey Northwestern Ontario as an active Level VI Hockey Canada Referee which included 10 years as the HNO Branch Referee-In-Chief and is still involved today off the ice, now this season as the OUA (Ontario University Athletics) lead administrator overseeing the on-ice officials locally.
